Counting

Jakey was counting today and was doing really well until he threw in an eleventeen!  Cracked me up : )

My little Sunbeam

My "little" Jakey is now a Sunbeam!  Jason and I talked to him before we went to church and told him that he wouldn't be going to nursery anymore, that he was a big boy and would now go to Primary with the big kids.  I was a little worried that he would have a really hard time sitting still, but he was very excited to go.  Jason and I decided to sit in the back of the room and keep an eye on him...he did really well!  At the end of church we went to pick him up 5 minutes early because Ty was totally done with church (nap time doesn't really work out with the new church schedule).  Jake didn't want to leave his class, he was having too much fun and wanted to stay.  He came home with a slip of paper saying he needed to give an article of faith next week and I told him that mommy would help him talk into the microphone and he told me "no, I do it myself.  Mommy sit down in chair."  I definitely don't have a shy little boy, he is so cute!

I feel like super mom!

My family came to visit for a couple of days (I will post pictures later) and while they were here  I asked my mom a million mom questions.  I am proud of myself...I took action and life is moving in the right direction : )  I told Jason and my mom that I would sleep train Ty as soon as we were moved into our new house, they both laughed at me and told me I was just putting it off.  I was putting it off because 1.  Ty is such a snuggly baby and I love it! and 2.  When I hear my babies cry it causes me MAJOR anxiety, I hate it!  Well, he started to be a little turkey when it came to sleeping and I knew it was time to start and I am glad that I did because it really  only took about a day and a half.  I didn't realize how much I was missing my sleep : )  Now he is a really good little sleeper and it is better for both of us. 

The other reason that I feel like super mom is because after 3 years of Jakey fighting me on everything that he eats he is finally eating the foods that he needs to be eating.  Such a huge relief!!!  I realized that this little boy takes after me and gags and throws up.  I honestly think it was just an issue of texture and now that he takes smaller bites and chews really well he is realizing that foods other than chicken nuggets, rice, nuts, toast, and crackers actually taste good : )  This week has been wonderful, I think that it is kind of funny that these two "little" accomplishments have made me feel so much better!

 I didn't think Ty would be too interested in Christmas this year,

but I was wrong he was very aware and interested in everything. 

 We took so many pictures and really couldn't get them both to look at the 

camera.  Jake was a little shy talking to Santa, but neither one of them were scared this year.

Outfits for church on Christmas

Christmas this year was alot of fun with two little boys.  Jake was all about Santa and presents and Ty loved all of the people and his toys.  I think I was most happy about spending time with my hubby and boys (Jason has been so busy with the house, it was nice to have him home).  I also loved that Jakey went "hamming" this year and came home so excited.  I am glad that he was able to participate in something that represents what Christmas is all about.  We had a wonderful Christmas!!!

The sweetest baby in the world!

I cannot believe that my little Ty Ty is already 6 months old, it is going way too fast!  This little boy is such a sweetheart and is such a happy little boy.  We love him tons!

First "real" pictures

I had a friend of mine take some pictures of my boys for Christmas presents.  I think she did a good job...Ty, my smiley baby was not super happy, but she still managed to get a couple of smiles.

Cell phone pictures

I never have my camera charged so I end up taking a ton of pictures with my cell phone.  I wanted to post them on the blog so that I would have them saved.

I wasn't going to post this picture, but I couldn't resist, he has such a cute bum! He was working so hard helping Nick and Daddy rake and shovel the dirt at the new house
